Almost done, just need to trim some edges to stop rubbing, and get pads.

I put it on the right side today, trimmed off all the little bits that rubbed, got new pads and trimmed them down so one side is complete. Too lazy to do the other side

no chance of fitting under 13" wheels, not the ones I tried anyway, and needs 8mm spacer to clear my 14" jellybeans, but shouldnt be a problem with most 14s.

Looking good. Are they stanza disks & strut?
What offset are your 14"s?
I ran out of brakes (stanza's) the other day and am considering my options.

Thanks.

 Re: Landcruiser calipers
its stanza strut, corona hub and magna (TN/TP?) rotor. the 14s have had the mounting face machined to increase offset, thats why they rub.

Had to take about 7mm off the calipers mounting faces, and trim to stop hitting the hub, not too hard just a lot of time, doing bit by bit and trying it on about 20 times to make sure its right. Still got the other one to go.

ps. is this the way they are supposed to go, or doesnt it matter. ie have I got it on the right wheel??

I might be wrong, but I think you've got the RH caliper on the LH side and vice versa. The little pots are supposed to be on the bottom.

I'm actually not totally familiar with these calipers, but it does look like there are two small pots and two largers pots.

 Re: Landcruiser calipers
Early 4-pots had all pots the same size, but the brake pads wore unevenly... the leading edge would get pulled in harder than the trailing. It's sorta easier to visualize if you imagine the pads being made of rubber. To compensate for the problem, manufacturers started to make calipers that had smaller leading pots so that more of the clamping force was on the trailing side of the pads.

Btw, your setup looks rad. My friend just put toyota 4-pots on his 280z... I might take his old brakes.
