I have both Toyota 1200 & Datsun 1200 and this is so TRUE ...

( Toyota "drinks less" - can do 5.4 l/100kms but Datsun always does > 7l/100kms

I like Toyota brakes - always an original Click sound everytime I press brake pedal .
Toyota gear box is a swiss watch ...

This was a 1970 test comparing disc-brake model Datsun 1200 to drum-brake Corolla 1200. You see, in USA we only got disc brake 1200s. Price was virtually identical to the Corolla 1200, but Datsun 1200 performed much better including fuel economy (when new).
