cut about 90% of the radiator support out
got rid of the tunnel and a fair chunk of firewall and floor as well

just need to remake the exhaust manifolds and run the water line over the rockercover so everything clears

go away....none of this "never mind, have a look at this flame thrower" crap in my photo album.....we are here to look at the wonders of modern car surgery, not fire

yeah no need to do clutch mods for me ange....who needs a clutch when you can lazy shift it (not a fan of autos but when ppl are giving them away.....)

was even more cutting going on today to make way for the chassis rails, the whole car was acutally starting to bow from sitting on the hoist so i had to add some supports so i could still get the doors open
and you say i dont need a rollcage adrian

I think Burke is either on commission or a shareholder

Pigdog.... Nice work, that fits in there quite nicely with plenty of room left for access.

well actually, the front needs to be lower so that the sill can sit about 10mm off the ground the whole way along ie sitting on my new chassis rails

 Re: little more v6 progress
coz 350 chevs are just lying around every where......well ok there was one sitting next to the ute for a while, but thats not the point

vn v6=free
350 chev=$1000+
im not spending money on this ute....just time

yeah ripping skids at datnats would be good.....dont know if it will be ready by then though, and CBF'd taking it
so when it does go in a burnout comp ill make sure it gets video'd for all to see

whats wrong with the radiator support? only doing the rusts job a bit quicker and neater...as there will be a radiator in that spot so no point it being taken up by metal
will put a bar or something across there though so there is a bit of strength

oh... the engine looks heaps neater now, took all the crap off that i dont need while fitting
and the engine mounts are almost done, just waiting on my brother to get home so he can weld them all up

Why not?

Someone's already done this to a ute here in Adelaide. It sold recently and I haven't seen it since.

If I didn't already have so many projects I'd whack a VG in a certain wagon of mine just for something different...

standard 180b springs......in a 180b IRS setup
with a custom chassis, lots of cutting

and yes that is a commodore v6, done most of the engine mounts today
