been playing around with the front end
ended up using a combo of 200b and 1200 lower arms and bluebird struts with r31 brakes
lower control arms are 20mm longer than stanza ones and the strut tower will be raised and moved inwards for more camber and travel

but this pic gives an idea of how it will look

How do the 200b lower arms bolt up and what balljoint did you use mate? Thats going to be one hell of a mod to the strut tower.

Re: V6 IRS ute, front camber
bolt up, well it requires an angle grinder and a welder
uses 200b balljoints and steering arms

200b control arms in too long and to small where it bolts onto the crossmember, so i cut it down and welded the original 1200 control arm end to it
yet to figure out castor arms though

strut tower is moving in 1 to 2 inches, and up as far as it can go. made some strut tops up that are flat so it can go nice and high and i can drill the hole to the side for even more camber

Re: V6 IRS ute, front camber
haha yeah the grinder and welder mods are all this ute is used to

im after as much camber as i can get, how it is now the strut is on the biggest angle the standard size springs will allow in the struts tower
pretty much on par with the rear at the moment with camber

the IRS is almost done, gotta finish running the chassis rail through the car (joining to the chassis rails in the engine bay) then i just have to make a brace up to somewhere near the back window height
then just little things like spring mounts and shocks ect

crossmembers done aswell, so once the front ends finished the engine will go back in, gearbox crossmember will be made and then wiring and tunnel making will start.....fun fun fun

Re: V6 IRS ute, front camber
why are you running that much camber? I cant see any way that it would improve performance unless your driving inside a very large pipe...

Re: V6 IRS ute, front camber
coz im going pipe racing

improved looks, not performance
i can always wind the camber back in if i want

besides...it doesnt seem to hurt v8 supercars to have that much camber
