 Re: r31 diff
these diffs seem to stand upto the torque of a commodore 5 litre with ease....so i dont really think the torque of a CA would bother it

dont really know about the drums actually, as they would be 5 stud if they were vl....id got get some r31 disks from the wreckers and see how the fit up(where the caliper ends up any way)

3.7 soon to be spooled centre....till i aquire an LSD

think the smallest i could fit over the rear discs was 14s, and yes they are just standard r31 rears

3.7?? man go 4.1 or 4.4 even, make it fun! I'm changing mine from 3.9 to 4.11 to get a bit more out of it.

 Re: r31 diff
I have a 4.1 in my skyline diff and I'm in the process of looking for a lower ratio.

It screams at nearly 4000rpm on at 100kmh.

4.4 would would be ridiculous, I can already take off in 2nd gear on hills with the 4.1. You may as well take 1st gear out with a 4.4

 Re: r31 diff
nah it already sits on 3 grand at 100kph...and with the l20b only reving to about 5 something stock
not really wanting any lower gearing, ill just find some money and get more power to make it interesting

kegs: they are just standard r31 skyline brakes...dont see why you would actually have an r31 diff without them, unless its a vl diff(in which case you might have to redrill the caliper bracket to get the caliper in a good spot) but im pretty sure all r31s, both skyline and pintaras came with rear discs

Whats the swaybar off?
Is it custom made?

Also the shocks look like upside down ones?
Are the adjustable?

Very nice conversion overall - love it!

Cheers Dat50

 Re: r31 diff
is that just an R31 rear swaybar?

How do you plan to mount the ends to the body?

 Re: r31 diff
width is 20mm wider than standard, which sits trx rims nicely till you lower the rear as much as i did (wheels scrub on the door seal groove thing

swaybar is an almost stock ea falcon item, had to bend the ends up so that the sway bar would be directly above the diff, its 22m which is probably just a tad big, but it went in so damn easy that i just couldnt resist....if i was to get one made id most likely not have it go over the diff as there isnt a great deal of clearance how it is
and i just cut the falcon mounts off the body and they fit nicely on the inside of the chassis rails....to easy really, ill post up a pic if i have one

shocks are upside down non adjustable torago items that as really firm compared to the standard shocks

and the front of the traction bars....ill find a pic, its just a pair of spring shackles welded to the ontside of the front spring hanger
