"New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 tens_and_twenties 2003/5/4 17:25 Tell a friend 11351 24 5.50 (2 votes)
This 1200 was spotted in the California Nissan "Dream Garage" with no miles, and never registered. If you ever wanted to see what a US model looked like new, this is it. |

Re: "New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 I love the whitewalls. Looks like my coupe is a candidate for some of these. Perhaps just a little wider. Talk about class.
You know, i can just see the ad for this one in the trading post. One owner, low miles, rust free, good paint, clean interior,.... Talk about understatement.

Re: "New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 I'm glad this one is in the museum, and not in A14force's hands It might be the last genuine unmodified all-Datsun 1200 left.

Re: "New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 Apparently there is another "Dream Garage" in Zama (the Nissan truck factory where the B10s were made). What kind of nose does this one have? 1200 Coupe SCCN #2 race car Is that a 1200 sedan in the back shyly trying not to attract any attention? 1200 Sedan? The main page to the Zama photoshoot is here, it's mostly focused on Datsun Roadsters: http://datsun.org/sroc/shako.htmlAnd while we're at it, here's a link to the "last unmodified Datsun 1200 left ... " topic: How many originals are left?

Re: "New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 Holey Moley
where do you find these pages DD??
And how the hell do i get to take a look?
Ive actally got a 1:24 scale model of the 1970 East African Safari Rally Winner 1600SSS. Made by Hasegwa that is half finished. I only bought it cause the guy in the hobby shop said it was rare and really detailed. Which it is, the metal grilles covering the headlights you can see in the pic of the actual car are included in the model and made out of thin sheet metal, as with the wipers, badges and radiator protector

Re: "New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 Quote: Is that a 1200 sedan in the back shyly trying not to attract any attention? I think it's a 1600 sedan. Perspective is playing tricks on you. It's too "boxy" to be a 1200. And the rear lights are the wrong proportion to the width of the rear. Good photos though.

Re: "New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 Here's one from Nissan's site (it's too big to show here - 4 MP). In the upper right corner you can see two 1200 sedans, a yellow one and a green one. Come to think of it, you could print a nice 8x10 from this photo. http://press.nissan-global.com "Zama Memorial Warehouse"Kind of a creepy name, eh? Like a masoleum or something.

Re: "New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 gosh that coupe is nice, they are so pretty when they are new and shiny like that. I regularly follow a young girl to work in a stock 1200 coupe. I stopped her once and gave her my number if she decided to sell it. She has an AVO out on me now....would that be a hint that she doesnt want to part, Im not sure....

The front end on that 1200 is a fiberglass front piece that goes on over the front end and covers the headlights and has bigger openings for cooling and directing air better than the standard front end/grill does. I've seen one or two for sale on Yahoo Japan.

Re: "New" 1200 from Nissan Garage 1 I would LOVE to get my hot little hands on that baby. Bolt on some flares, cut the springs and recess the fire wall to fit an fj20. Oh yeah and cut a big hole in the bonnet for a scoop. Then brush panit it black for the tough look.
LIKE BLOODY HELL!!!!!!!!
I heard that this car was originally blue, but then too many datto fans saw it! lol
