My Sedan is pretty damn close to being that clean But it is a freak too. I like how these pedal rubbers look new, (kinda grey oxide). And the Radio Surround is a Dark grey..I thought they were the same colour as the dash normally?? Nice photos though..I love them.

The Steering wheel is missing the Datsun Emblem..Tsk Tsk..

Chris.

I should pull that "D" off of one of my old steering wheels and send it to them.
That parcel tray, on the right side, is pretty sweet. Very rare out here. Believe it or not, many years ago, I saw a parcel tray like that at the junkyard and didn't buy it.

I was wondering about the parcel tray. I've never seen one even though in the 80s I used to scour the yards looking for 1200 parts.

I had a parcel tray in my car when I got it. I pulled it out though because passengers always kicked it. It already had cracks in it. And if anyone was in the back seat then the passenger had to move foreward and it made them too cramped...

My mum's 1200 wagon she had used to have this tray too...

Looks like you fellas were ripped off again over there...

What about the console around the gearstick? Shouldn't it have one of those?

Oh yeah, and a cig lighter?

We didn't get consoles either. Or tachometers. Or clocks.

No consoles? Was this just for the manual coupe? Or no consoles regardless of body style and tranny type? For all of North America?

let me clear things up for the usa market:

we did not get the larger center console, the kind that have a location for a clock

but our automatic transmission cars did have a mini center console

tachos and clocks were in fact a dealer option, but were installed in the dash

but i'm not sure what the deal is with the lhd package tray

as this is the first usa 1200 i've seen that had one

(except for the one on my coupe, which i bought in europe)

Thanks for the info. Was the mini center console on the autos ever available on manuals in any markets?

Yes, matbighat is correct. Clocks & tachs were available here, but are not very common even so.

The auto has a mini console. In Japan market and North American these were never fitted to manual cars, at least according to the parts book and documentation (brochures, ads, etc).
