There are three different guards to cover the four Datsun 1000 models.
This one looks like it might be for the middle two, the 1968 & '69 models.

Cheers for that, I have a 1000 dash cluster that I will be selling soon when I find it, I might need you to ID that too.

There is no bog that i can see in the guard, its the original paint as far as i can see, I dont think it has had any other badges on it before, I'd be happy to bring it down to town for you guys to look at, its at my shed at lonsdale at the moment, im heading up there wednesday night.

All of the B10 front fenders/guards were the same except for the blinker light hole & the holes for emblems.
Deluxe models had an additional 'DeLuxe' shield below the 'Datsun' name

1967 models used a small dome blinker & had a round hole to accomodate it

1968 & '69 models used a short 'spear' & this is the hole for it.

1970 models used the longer spear that was shared with the P510 models & some truck versions as well I believe. This was a larger hole & from memory it was slightly further back & lower, but only ever so slightly.

Ahh, found it. I had a new, painted 1968/'69 guard in the rafters & we used it to repair my 1970 coupe. I removed the new blinker & the outline can be seen. We measured the new [but opposite side] 1970 guard that I had, & marked out the correct hole dimentions on the earlier guard. The new hole was cut & the old part filled as necessary to convert it from one model to the other.

thats exactly what i did with the 67 guard i got off neil with the dome indicator, marked where my 68 light went, cut the hole and filled the old round hole.
