1200gxman nailed it right on. For the amount of driving I do I couldn't be bothered to have a heater in, it would have complicated my plumbing to much anyway.
Here is a crappy pic of the police vehicle request document one has to pull when trying to clear a vehicle. This was done as the previous owner declared it stolen, got it back, but never bothered to clear it before selling it to me. To cut it short, I had bucket loads of crap to get it legally registered in my name, but I did it.
Also you will notice that there is a "Usage" header, which says "Racing". Yes in ZA you can register a vehicle for racing use, and still legally drive it on public roads, to and fro events of course...
What might be of even more importance, is that there is also a "RW status", which reads "Exempt" in this case. This basically means it can have any modification whatsoever done to it, engine wise, rollcages, wheels, ride height and so forth, and it can still legally be driven on public roads, to and fro events... It also never has to go for roadworthy testing, but having built this car I can honestly say that I'm more than willing to take it for testing anytime, and I'm 100% sure it will pass the 1st time.
