as far as a custom ute goes, this tops the lot.

I think that you gotta agree, it certainly looks to be a quality job & it sure updates the interior, but I'll join the chorus, it's not my personal preference in style.

If i was to update, then I would look seriously at the current, & recent, Bakkie offerings. These combine a fresh new look with old school style & are just the ticket in a passenger model of Datsun 1200.

The Bakkie is the current day decendant of the old 1200 ute. It's still in production but with a number of changes that have modernised it without actually becoming a whole new vehicle.

See if you can have a look through the brochure pages & find an interior shot.

I like it. It's a bit like the Silvia conversion but looks more 'at home'.

Any more pics of the rest fo the car laying about?

Nope South Africa only.

Re: Starlet Dash In 1200 Ute
personally i rekon that is disgusting.
What the hell is wrong with oldschool fastory minimulist?
I dont see why you would want to change from the factory dash unless you wanted a coupe one so you can see whats going on in your engine or you wanted a gx one or some rare factory one.
Personally i love the standard 1200 waogn one that reads unacurractly in mph and goes accross not around. i love the lightweight look with thin as steering wheel.
The factory got it right and i agree

I can see where you're coming from but i have to say that's its awesome, even if you don't like it the amount of work gone into it has to be appreciated. The whole ute is immaculate as in the flesh If I had my way I would have the standard shape dash filled with autometer gauges
