 Re: new stoppers
15's fit fine.

im currently running 15x5.5 on the front which clear the spring cup and the strut itself by a country mile.

but i also tried my old 15x6 skyline wheel on
and that fit aswell. snug but it fits.

i havent cut the strut down yet as i wanted to trial it first before spending a lot on the setup. hasnt bottomed out at all yet which is good but i will be putting inserts in them soon wether they be shorter or not. time will tell.

no pics of the stub axle sorry.

Nice! Those calipers look identical to my 280zx ones.

All this on a 120y strut am I correct? Is there any worries about the size of the wheel bearings and stub axle with large brakes like this?

 Re: new stoppers
yes you are correct.

later model 120y's (with PBR calipers) have a larger stub axle, and this is the one ive used.

theres nothing to worry about. This setup has been used by many before me.

 Re: new stoppers
This is the same brake combo I will be using.

I had a set of 120Y struts but noticed the Sunny struts I have had bigger stub axles, so I am using the Sunny ones, the 120Y struts I had may have been off an earlier model. I am guessing that your struts have the same size stub axles as Sunny struts.

Ange, have you done anything with the strut body? Like cut it down in length? Just curious, as I am doing this in the next week or so.

Cheers

I have 15s and they fit over the same brakes on a silvia so I dont see why they wont fit over them on another strut. Is there something I am not seeing?

I am not sure of the offset of my wheels but they are 15x7.5 with ~ 0 offset, so the centres will have to be moved out to get the tyre under the guard.

i thought 120y struts had the same problem as 1200 ones, any bigger in wheels/tyres and you start hitting the spring cup

I am running STD silvia front calipers and rotors on 120Y struts. I am running 15in X5.5in TRX mags with 205/50's and I am real dam close to the lower spring cup. I could not go any wider in tyres.

dont happen to have any pics of the stub axle, or measurement would you

it would be interesting to see if the stub axle is the same as sunny ones (smaller than stanza and what not)
