Are the two letters on the number plates both of your initials as well?

 Re: his and hers
haha good one lags

well spotted though

the letters AC are my initials, and my better half's name is hyphenated so she chose to put JL
on there instead of her 'first and last' initials as they will be changing in the near future

Thats great Ange. Do you feel like your in the 70's when you drive it. I did when I had my sedan. I loved even the way the radio took ages to warm up. Just a good clean up, to be ready to be used as the wedding car.

why would it matter where the motor was from...

the old a12 manual with a good tune are good to kick around in. you don't wanna turn it into another money pit do ya?

A12 in nice tune is the way to go I reckon. Maybe an appropriate jetted Weber would be good for chasing a little more power. Subtle mods on the std inlet manifold for better flow and electronic ignition.

The little A12 can be made to go really well for minimum cost.

Talk to boofhead about turning the A12 into a little powerpack.

My top things to do to a A12 are:
1.Remove permanent blade fan and fit electric fan.
2. Bigger radiator.
3. Electronic ignition.
4. Other gearbox.(In your case)
5. Other carb. Even Hitachi Su's will be nice.

Ange i found an old manual box into auto tunnel mount while cleaning up my shed.... could get you out of trouble or be a good template.... but it wasnt the best by design.... bolts would vibrate loose with this setup
