Re: A12 Ready 1 Can you please check your altenator and give me the make, model and maybe serial number or anything else helpful as I would like to replace my stupid LUCAS one with one of better quality and more amps. Due to altenator sizes I want to use one that will fit between the waterpipes that will flow around it.

Re: A12 Ready 1 the Alt in the pic is a 1971 (I believe) and the only info I could find was "Hitachi" so I looked on the original motor I pulled out of the car (1973)and it had this stamped on the top of it. Hitachi LT135-13B212 23100 U0100
I have no idea what it all means. If you know could you fill me in also?

Re: A12 Ready 1 the "LT135" bit means 35 amp the "23100-U0100" is the original part# (at least for the US version. An "R" is added at the end of the part # as they are only available in reman). The "13B212"....I don't have a clue.
My 2cents Edit: Oh yea, That motor does look trick
