The plugs are now spaced so they are at the correct seated height.

 Re: MORE PERVING
Just looking at all your head pics errol and I have a couple of questions.
Shouldn't the plugs all be indexed to the same angle to help ignition and flame travel ?
I have also hit the diegrinder onto the oil gallery between the pushrods....thought it seemed like a good idea at the time.
You don't seem to have cut away much area for the exhaust valve. I had to take a fair bit out to get the welltites in there. Did you replace the seats or just blend the originals to suit the larger valve ?
Or did you blend the chamber to this shape so it doesn't look as bad ? Should I do this ?
My chambers are 24cc at the moment so I could afford to lose alittle anyway to get the compression down from 12.9 (assuming I calculated right). I was thinking of using a shim plate to drop it alittle anyway.
Do I need to get the same polish finish on mine or does alittle roughness enhance swirl ?
I notice you've also taken out the remained of the valve guide to get more flow. Does this effect the valve train (weaken it) by allowing the valve to flex on the shaft or move around ?
If I had a camera I'd take some pics of the engine while its in pieces.
I pulled the head off mine on the weekend just for a peek. I've decided to put it back together and run it without the new cam for now just to get it out there.Seems the pistons are hyperutectics so they will do for now.

Yep they arent tightened up yet, just screwed in loose. Seats have been blended into the chamber. They dont need as much cut away for the exhausts. Exhaust flow is good as it is. Mine were rough, but I have been convinced by a few (fluid dynamic ??? experts --- VB dynamics at least) that the chamber works better polished and the fire groove does help charge burn direction and subsequently charge burn speed at very high engine speeds. Proof will be in the racing. Old mountain man proverb states "Flag drop bullshit stop"

The cut back guides do cause more valve and guide wear but this is part of the price for the performance.

Borrow a digital and ge some pics up. I am interestested to have a peek.
Cheers Feral Errol.
