"to get the desired camber you are allowed to redrill the LCA mounting point up to 40? -45mm?(id have to look it up) in the crossmember"

You would have to be a bit careful with this one, moving the hole out to get your camber will cause bumpsteer. Moving directly up and down will affect your roll centre (mechanical stiffness for want of a simple explanation).

I have not had a lot to do with adjustable strut tops but wonder how much camber you can acyually gain by using these over the standard strut tops.
Does ant one know?

 Re: adjustable front end stuff
My 2 bob,
Standard Stanza bottom arms, redrilled crossmember (only about 20mm from memory) and noltec adjustable tops got me about 4 - 4.5 deg neg camber. Castor about 4 - 5 deg with rethreaded stanza LCA.
Couldn't achieve the above before the coil over setup went in but now all is well with correct ride height. No "5 minute" job though !!
Cheers

Cheers for that, i didnt think I could. I'll only be doing supersprints and hillclimbs in the meantime anyway so all will be good for now.

Nice work, the castor rods look about the same diameter as my torana ones. Can i ask how the castor rods are modded to fit the datsun balljoint pattern? Are they adjustable from factory? My ke20 corolla stuff was like that with a small tack weld to stop them self adjusting.

they were fairly adjustable from factory, but i found the right size tap(or die, which ever it is) so added more thread for the hell of it

had to cut the end off after the first bolt hole and weld it back on so that the second bolt hole lined up with the other one on the control arm

oh and the rod is about 18-19mm thick

And it's even legal for I.P.R.A. cause you hav'nt moved the pick up points(and it's called a die)on the chassis.

Looks very good.
Not IPRA legal tho, have to run elastometric bush in standard lower control arm(no rod ends) and caster rod has to be original item.

A job well done, it would be perfect for a club sprint car.

I haven't got this years cams book, I dont think I can but can I run my adjustable lower control arms in IPRA, they have nolathane bushings? They will be good for the next two years anyway before I have enough cash and experience to run IPRA.

Unfortunatly not,
to get the desired camber you are allowed to redrill the LCA mounting point up to 40? -45mm?(id have to look it up) in the crossmember.

What was i thinking?I stand corrected on the rod ends, however you would get away with the caster rod, cause it is original is'nt it??? eh,well?
