Re: Sanitora Round port head This would have been from the A14 'Thrift' engine & it would have had a water heated manifold, hence the need for the coolant holes.

Re: Sanitora Round port head They are from an A12 engine. Sanitora is a nickname for Sunny Truck. Probably early 90s A12.
Notice how cleanly this engine was burning. The exhaust valves are the perfect color.

Re: Sanitora Round port head The chambers look to be quite tall too. It would have to be a pretty low performance head one would think..........

Re: Sanitora Round port head Ddgonzal is more across this one than me, but the US model 210 [AKA B310/Sunny] was available with an economy version of the A14 engine.
This was an A14 tailored for maximum economy & it used a round port head with the oval port stud pattern. This engine was down on brute power but was as thrifty as hell & could stretch ones fuel dollar further than just about anything else in it's class at the time.
A few of these are turning up in Australia & it's unlikely that they came from the US, so I wonder if they were used in other applications either in Australia, or in Japan.
There was a huge drive to ship in container loads of Jap car parts from Japanese wrecking yards during the 70's & 80's & I still don't know if the practice has ended entirely yet, but lots of JDM stuff turned up here back then.
I still have a manifold for one of these with an electric choke carb on it thats left over from about 20 years ago.
