Works well to dissasemble it and weld the runners up atleast. I did the same, and appart from a smaal amount of warp on the one runner, they came back together without to much trouble. Hammer heere, grinder there, and they fit perfectly.

Good work, looks super smooth. I'll be building one for a 16V 2.0L Golf motor sometime during the next month...

looks good but a tip for an easier manifold is to start with the merge collecter. get a piece of straight and cut it on a big angle then spin one section around 180 degrees and weld it together. then you have a spear type piece and you cut the end off. then you can piece your way to the head flange

very nice. runners look similar length which is sometimes very hard to do.

welding it up withough significant warpage is the next hard step.

Are you going to bolt to a head while welding?

yep nice jay i know your jealous and would like to have my skills at fabricating but you dont
any intrest in people wanting to buy a few? they will be t2 flange but could be made to suit any other you just supply the flange
lampy it will be bolted to and old head and will be tacked profusly then stitch welded to minimise warpage

 Re: turbo manifold 2
looking good, iv thought about attempting a manifold for myself, thing i thought too be most difficult is making the collector at the turbo were the 4 pipes meet (then die grind them all smooth), and also tigging in the hard to get spots.

2QK4U this is just tacked together at the moment but will be partially disassembled and welded in the hard to get to bits then put back together and welded completly
the collecter will be slightly difficult but ive planned it out will post up a few more progress pics to show how i have done it
