Chris, do you think your bro is going to redo the turbo manifold setup so that everything sits lower? This is the trend with some of the butches here in the states, but maybe you guys prefer the high mount setup?

Please ignore (if at all possible) the multicolored anodized bits for the sake of illustration.

How come this is not mounted in the centre? It appears to be closer to the drivers side (LHD) or is it just me? Wouldn't you have less room over on that side.

Never mind the multicoloured bits... I'm much more concerned about the spark plug leads and distributor. There are far too many people who butcher good engines by going backwards in their use of technology. No set of distributor points will outperform a transistor pack as fitted at the factory.

It makes me question the skill of some installers..

Yeah, I've heard the owner talking before, and I think he'd love to debate you on that point.

The high mount trend is very Japanese style based. Have a look at any GTR with a single TRUST T88 or whatever, they are all mounted high, screaming "look at me".

Jeff's turbo is a S15 Silvia one, so it's good, but he'd like a turbo like mine. We fitted mine to his manifold during construction for some pics, back when he first made the exhaust manifold. It looked good. With the Z32 AFM and the bigger injectors and larger fuel pump, he expects a considerable increase in power, nearing 190-200kW at the wheels.
