Re: Rear view of GX Woodgrain is meant to be an upmarket thing, right? Is it just me, or does woodgrain always look cheap and nasty to everyone?

Re: Rear view of GX Na lob its cheap and nasty but except on the 1200 2 door model it actually looks stylish. But here an 80s corolla interior can compete with it.

Re: Rear view of GX Woodgrain is cheap and nasty -- unless it is real wood. The most expensive cars, like Rolls Royce have real wood in them. Most top line cars of the 70s and 80s had fake "wood grain look" panels to fit our plastic lifestyles.
On the other hand, I've been in cars with real wood (Jaguar and Lexus) and it didn't thrill me.

Re: Rear view of GX My 610 has that crappy wood imitation thing, I hate it, looks cheap, I will tear it off and replace it with either platinum /silver metal or will paint it all black, I do not like it. But back at that time it was cool, I guess.

Re: Rear view of GX Welcome to the 70s..where the excitement of making everything out of plastic was begining it's rise. Plus, most things in the 70s were tacky ...
At least they got the body styling right with the 1200 and 510 too.
