 Re: dynamat
i purchased it from a guy in the states hes on ebay, it worked out heaps cheaper than anybody else. i used 36 sq (bulk pack) and that covered the firewall floor and the bit up to the sill on the back plus the roof. i have bought another 20 sq for the doors and the rear firewall which should leave me with a little spare. all up i think its cost about 400 including frieght.

I used this stuff on my coupe, makes a huge difference especially with the custom trans tunnel, well worth the money, you can buy it at autobarn.

 Re: dynamat
its a sound deadener.
ive done exactly what frank has done here, and it sure makes it quiet in the cabin.i got caught in pounding rain the other day and i could hardly hear it drumming on the roof.

its about 2mm thick and there would be zero chance of feeling it if done correctly

 Re: dynamat
its the original with an extra insert mounted on the top to give the clearance required. no point choping the whole tunnel out if its not needed to be cut out, plus i can still use the original heater

 Re: dynamat
sorry jake to pick your brain,
im new to this hole conversion thing,
so to avoided cutting the tunnel out to much, did you more the motor forward more? (ca18det box),
in saying all that are you able to remove the box if need to without droping the motor,

i to want to keep my original heater unit in play
