CA and a Z might look to be simliar....but they are rather different, think the CA18ET might be the next generation step for the Z series which is why they look similar

here your pic anyway

haha whoa thats wierd i just registered to this site now to find 1 of my datsuns on the main page. i never intended on doing this conversion as i already have a ca18det b110 220rwkw and has cost me way too much as it is. was amazed at how easy it would be to put the et in here thats just sitting on standard xmember with standard ca18et mounts but yea it is one hidious engine but got it with gbox and loom afmeter clutch basicly everything 4 300 dollars so just sat it there and sold it 4 1800 dollars as is in lots of pieces

Is this a bad motor that everyone thinks it's a bad conversion, apart from it not having 16V? I'd certainly rather fit this than a L and still having to charge the L, plus this is a newer design and it seems to fit rather well. Isn't the bottom end the same as the DET?

maybe if you got it for free....but then a CA18DE only costs about $150 these days

at least it would be a good base to bolt a DET into

A mate of mate put a de head on a Ca20e. And turbo'd it of coarse. Apparently it was fully insane. But it shat out.
I once got a whole u11 bluebird with one of these motors in it for $12.50
