Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG How do you find tuning the gra throttle body? Should do well over 100rwkw then, good power from 6pound!

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG mmmm nice thats a tough looking setup, looks like gra throttle body and impco e convertor? Im building an impco 225 and model l convertor setup for our boosted a12 running a t25g from sr20det. Got the cooler mounted so far still planning manifolds. How much boost you pushing and whens it at full boost? Good on ya for goin lpg, very underated!

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG 6psi atm, but am going to re-tune and up it to 15psi, currently has 80kw to the rear wheels, but am going to put a bigger diff before upping the boost, and yep gra but its a B2 converter not an impco

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG that is schmik!!! What type of ignition system are you running? are you running a ford EDIS type? Also what ecu are you running?
What have you done to the bottom end? is it just a standard A14?

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG Does it have an aluminium window washer canister. Wow alot of work has gone into this build good catch. How is the ignition setup controlled?
Also let us know how does it fly?

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG it has an EMS stinger for ignition, and a CAS from a magna. the aluminium tank is a header tank for the cooling system.
its pretty quick, but no 1/4 mile times. will geive it a run after i finish getting it engineered and up the boost.

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG man that cool!any reason why you did a LPG set up rathr than a petrol setup? who makes turbo manifolds for 1000's?

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG LPG is cheaper and easier to setup. win-win obviously.
A top part manifold from a v6 holden could be used to replicate this similar design curved rear inlet.

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG Good pickup D the manifold uses a VL commodore elbow so it could bolt up the the GRA throttlebody. the GRA is choked to 200cfm as 350cfm delivers far too much fuel, it could even do with being choked further.

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG I did look at such a setup in the past after days of wasting my time at wreckers.
Its choked for 200cfm wow does that mean it has a throttle restrictor plate in there somewhere?
Im thinking you could give it some more instead when you raise the boost? 130kw at the threads is going to be possible with 15psi if you are making 80kw now with 6psi.
Why would anyone spend 7-8k for an NA setup when you can have drive-ability that doesnt annoy you with the lack of torque on a stressed NA, reliability, low rpm and easy to source replacement stock parts. Absolute ripper setup.

Re: A14/ Intercooled T3/ LPG It has a sleeve choke, from GRA, as for opening it up, its 200 and a real 200 not like a 350 holly etc.. running at 190 or whatever they run at, and i have a 250 sleve i can use if it starves, but i dont think it will be an issue. and i reccon 110 or so KW 130 might be shooting a bit high
