42mm webbers hanging off a worked a-12 making 56kw at wheels (approx 100 flywheel Hp) running through a 5-speed, standard diff at moment but going to 4:9 ratio with sprung load locker which should result in awesome acceleration and maybe allow me to use fifth gear :). |

Re: engine that weber manifold with gx stamped in it sounds like something that came from sss automotive here in sydney before stewart wilkins sold the business.if it's that manifold, they're pretty good, but probably no better than what you've got at the moment.that manifold was originally cast by john & jeff taylor,& the molds sold to stewart, who is probably still selling them through his new business.

Re: engine weber manifold was made by datrally for previous owner, could be for sale very soon!!!, my bro in law got a gx weber dellorto manifold given to him last week which had "GX" stamped on it, mean anything to anyone? he may also want to sell that dont know price not allowed to cut front for rallying so no, but there is not much of the radiator fins covered by the front anyway except to the right end where theres maybe two or three inches, but unfortunately i cant help that

Re: engine/radi basically it depends on the condition, chances are its 30 years old and RS, then you may aswell upgrade, but if its in quite good condition it will be fine for the a-14

Re: engine its off an alfa (2ltr twin cam thing), its perfect as it thick, wide and has end tanks making it very short. i picked it up like brand new at a wrecker and took it to a radiator joint where they acid bathed it and put two nozzles on to match the 1200 size ones for only aus$40, bit of searching at the auto shop found an old model excel top hose would reach and standard bottom hose was fine. my needles never moved off half mast in any conditions. i know you guys say youre needle sits just below half but ever since i got a new temp. sender mine sits dead on half, with standard 1200 setup and with new motor and radiator, so thats where its supposed to sit
