this is my malpassi regulator, i was told t was rising rate when i bought it, but someone told me the other day it wasn't, so does anyone know which it is???

Hi Michael!!
I use the same on my turboengine, fulepressure is set to 0,28bar!! I use it together with a Bosch high capacity fuel pump that deliveres 240l/h....

basically i think its from experience, but the extra hose connection gives it away too i spose (in, out, return, and vacuum)

my concern was that ive seen a lot of this model that had some sort of black spacers between the two pieces, what are they???

i know only because its the same kind I have always used and seen used on blowthrough carbie setups.
But really if you look at the reg it has;
the pressure adjustment screw on top.
1 fuel supply inlet ( from pump)
1 fuel supply outlet ( to carbie)
1 fuel return ( to tank)
1 vaccum / boost signal supply ( this varies the pressure acording to the vaccum or boost signal)

1200rallycar the other kind you talk of are malpassi rising rate regs designed for EFI use.
Similar design but with a higher rated spring
