Re: bluey disc over There is an alloy back plate that bolts up where the stamped back plate went for the drum brakes. It uses longer bolts than the drum brake ones, so I recomend that you try to get a whole rear axle assembly as there are some extra parts that are needed that are easy to leave behind. Things like Longer wheel studs for mag wheel mounting. Longer bolts for back plate mounting. Tabs to support the inner end of the flex hoses for each calliper.
I paid $50 for a whole LX rear end when I got mine. LX? Yes, the top of the range LX also had the disc brake setup except for the first hundred or so LX cars made in 1981

Re: bluey disc over the standard brake hose will bolt in but i got those "banjo" style conectors as the standard hose stuck up and out and i found the hose rubbed on the chassis when suspension compressed, was almost rubbed right through when i discovered it

Re: bluey disc over why do you want a bigger master cylinder??? if you want more braking you want a SMALLER master cylinder.
Remember....F=PxA therefore pressure in the line = Force/area

Re: bluey disc over Datsik Just remember that a smaller bore in the master cylinder will develop more pressure, but you pay for this with a longer stroke, or more pedal travel, for a given volume of fluid displaced. Just be carefull that the pedal does not get too near the floor. In automotive engineering, to get something, you always pay something.
Version 1 of these rear disk brakes were used on All series 1 Nissan Bluebird [910] TRX models & LX models except for the first few weeks of LX production. These were all sedans.
Version 2 of these brakes were used on ALL series 2 & 3 Bluebird [910] TRX models [sedans] & LX models [sedans & wagons]
I'm too tired to go & check my parts book for the diferences, but the linings are a diferent material. E-mail me if you need parts book info.
