This is how I fill my trans and rear end with fluid.  
The clear hose is connected to my air compressor.  It takes about 10sec to empty  the 1pt (473ml) jar.

despite everyone making fun of the jam jar, i think that it is absoultly ingenius!!

I agree, at the right pressure, it would work famously. I too am impressed. and I will be making one of your gear oil machines when I fill up my various items. Which reminds me..I have to fill my steering box thanks.

I believe it's actually a spaghetti sauce jar.
It doesn't take much pressure to get the fluid going. I slipped the tube over the end of my airgun so I could throttle the air in a little at a time and the aircompressor was at about 40psi. The lid starts to bulge out and a little air leaks by, but who cares.
I just wanted to point out that if you use this type of jar and lid, start slow, as I don't think it will take much to blow the lid off.
If I ever make another one or a larger one, I'll try a masons jar with the 2 piece lid.
