Another shot with the completed tray and hooks removed - I'd love that hard top about now....

Yeah, be careful where you buy your chrome taillights from. I bought these off ebay for $60 pair brand new. I thought they looked real good but THEY ARE CRAP.
Aftermarket rubbish, they didn't fit properly, the globe holders were literally unusable - i had to use the original ones, the seals were wrong and worst of all they started to rust after 3 weeks(you can't see it in the photo)but they are VERY ordinary. So be careful and look before handing over the $$$$$.

Hey B120 we'll keep our cold weather and you can keep your tropical thunderstorms but we would like all your chicky babes.......

I had a genuine 1200 ute [1973 model] & i always thought that the tail light trims were stainless.
It was a workhorse, not a show pony, so i didn't pay that much attention, but i always thought that the scabby black rims came in when they went to the 120Y running gear in about '74.
That means the shiney ones can be found on earlier hulks.

Yeah I've had a couple of the taiwanese tailights and they are pretty rough. The stupidest thing is they fit them with a different plug so they won't plug into the loom like the old ones. You have to chop off the plug from your old tailights and solder it on to the wires. There really only good for using the lenses, which fit fine into the original housing (although they fade after about a year). I was lucky enough to grab and original set of Nissan ones from ebay about a year ago..there still sitting in their boxes awaiting the completion of my ute.
P.S. Your ute looks sweet!
