Re: Datsun Ute Rear The front is not too difficult to fix up, as long you have the parts handy. (my one was was a mangled kangaroo shaped mess when I started)
But a tray can be a real pig- mostly the wheel arches actualy... Looks like your'e doing an awsome job though! Keep it up

Re: Datsun Ute Rear Its just really good to see you starting from scratch.. I admire that- & I know how much work it takes.
It kinda looks like your tailgate is wonky... have you looked inside it for rust? Mine was so rusty on the inside

Re: Datsun Ute Rear No one seems to carry them in NZ, and the freight kills it from Aus, so unfortunately, just gotta fix it

Re: Datsun Ute Rear I havent tried genuine, It was going to be like $800 freight from nispares AUS, plus parts. and they only carried swb panels. the panelbeater has got a specialist that comes in and rolls panels, works out at a reasonable cost (I HOPE) he keeps telling me not to worry about the money. So damned if i know

Re: Datsun Ute Rear Burger It the factory nissan colour, changes slightly in different lights. bit of a bugger though, most cars being painted at present are choosing the same scheme. no turning back now

Re: Datsun Ute Rear Aaaaaah! how annoying... The exact thing happened to me! I painted the Ute (blueprint) the new xr6 and xr8 blue as soon as it came out. Suddenly people were buying hundreds of the falcons, and cars were getting painted all over the place in the same colour! I even saw one with the sparkle the other day! but no stripes
