Regarding the wheels, i have been making some mesurements and i think and a Dragster is on the way. On the front wheels i can not go much further on increasing the diameter. However at the rear wheels i can go something like 20% (!!!!)
more diameter. That is much better than swaping from a 4.1 diff to a 3.9 diff and much more easier. I think i can homologate it with larger wheels at the rear. If not, when i go to to the anual inspection i will switch it to the original so everybody remains happy. Regarding the wheels color, OZ rally white wheels will be great.
Next thing to do (sometime from now, money doesn't grow on the trees) will be a VW G40 compressor-intercooler setup. I think that it will be quite easier and "cheap" to do than a turbo setup. I think that at least 100Hp will be achieved with no problem at all.
After that is like you say, Paul: New engine, new gearbox, etc...
