It looks stock, but it has a coupe head & exhaust manifold. You can just make out the dual outlet flange down there

The Datsun 1000 coupe head gives it half a point more compression without touching it. The coupe's dual outlet exhaust manifold bolts to any of the stock round port inlet manifolds & breathes almost as good as the GX manifold, which was basicly copied from it. The stock coupe front exhaust pipe fitted straight up under the car.

My 1200 GX engine came next, but this one kept me mobile while i was building it.

P.S. This photo graphicly illustrates why you should ALWAYS use fill in flash when taking pictures of engines in cars. Particularly in strong light as the shadows are darkest then.
