 Re: my GT42
im with YRLOSS on this its only a tiny turbo, a Gt42 doesnt have a internal gate and is like size of a head,
talking about truck turbo's my mechanic is building up a twin turbo torana with both SCANIA 1000hp (truck Turbo's ) feeding into a supercharged VN 5Lt v8, still with carby but after up and runing going EFI, will have some pics up 2morro night, now thats a set up,

Ha Ha that VN sounds mad, it reminded me of Tony D'Olivera's KE30 Corrolla YLD-TOY from a fair few years back when it had the same type of setup. Below is a pick of it with its 302 Windsor, Twin T04's, 4/71 GM supercharger, 750 methanol carby with 150hp Nitrous kit.

Then when that melted in a burnout comp he went back to all of the above without the 4/71 GM supercharger. Its no Datto but you can't say it isnt cool.

Thats small, it's still internally gated too.
My mate has a Holset turbo off a 15 litre cummins truck, now that's a turbo, i'll try and get a pic. It will be going on a valiant.

It's going on a 440cid big block so it will pump enough air to spin the thing.
On a side note a friend of a friend will be runnnig a GT42 (externally gated though) on his SR20, well SR22

Yeah, I was under the impression that the GT30 series turbos were the largest internally gated ones you could get.

...and YLD-TOY...I don't know if you saw any of the vds from the 2003 Supernates, but my god, does that thing hike!
