Photographed in Coffs Harbour [NSW] on my way home from Queensland in about '81.
Note the coup's roofline compared to my 4 door sedan.

Eroll's coupe [not Feral] on the left had a 1200 with new GX head & Webbers, while my 1200GX engine, with stock GX Hitachi's had an edge on him due to the poor tuning of the Webbers.

He simply walked into his Datsun dealer one day & asked if the GX head was available as a spare part. It was,... so he bought one, then told me, & i bought one too. [plus all the bits to complete it as an assembly]
Ahhh, them's was the days, sunshine, surf, & hot Datsun 1000's [no aircon]

Thats another world away Dodgeman, you walk into a dealers today and the spares guys laugh at you, "A what?, a Datsun, I dont think so mate"
