A wooden boat, loaded to the gunn'ls with outboard & camping gear, a fully packed 1000 with GX & 5 speed, mid summer heat & highway cruise speed.
No problem.
This was at Port Maquarie [NSW] in about '81 or so |

 Re: Gone fishin Back then you could buy towbars for Datsun 1000's. It was usefull for towing things [natch] but also saved my little treasure when some fool bumped my rear at an intersection. The gooseneck went through the Toyotarrrgh's radiator, & he was charged with a traffic offence.
Don't mess with MY Datsun!
