This appears to be one of the original tyres from my coupe. It's a Dunlop B90. Some of our members may never have seen an original cross ply tyre, & it's a wonder that they stuck to the road at all.

The crayon writing is from when it had a puncture repair.
The four wheels holding the car up all had radials & this one was hiding in the spare wheel recess.

Hmmmmmm White tyre chalk suggests this tyre is not that old but cross ply dunlop suggests it is. any serial no on the tyre?
BTW cross ply tyres can still be purchased, just not that many brands.

I love crossplys! They are by far the best for burnouts. Lots of dense rubber with buggar all tread. When I had my V8 in high school I used to chuck some on and sit at 70mph on the spot. They last for ages.

I do remember them, left the road manytimes with them on. Now I just toss_em in the bin when found in the boot. Remember to not pitch into corners with X_plys on.Them DRIFT BOYS mite like them.
