Feral does a conversion on these for your "A" series engine, & the Bosch distributor that you have was used only on the 83/84, series 2 Bluebird, in Australia

I provided him with a few "core" distributors when i asked him to make one for me, so drop him a line & he may be able to do one on an exchange basis.

Make sure that you tell him which cylinder block type it is for [A10/ 1200 type, or the later A12/ A14/ A15 type] Check this website, page, then send him an e-mail.
I expect to pick up my distributor during next week, so i will post a picture.

To get the best from it, you will need to use the matching high energy type coil. That will really make those plugs throw a spark

yes this is a great upgrade!! i have this exact Dizzy on mine. gave me better fuel econmy, much more responsive , no bogging down, went harder, much more reliable and instead of 7800rpm struggling on the old points it goes to 9000rpm no troubles . Errol did mine for me to go with the motor

 Re: bluebird electronic ignition distributer
yay i found one!
It has the larger diameter cap (than prev '73-'78 ones)and the 4 fixed prongs rather than 1. The 'matchbox' ignitor box is attached to the dizzy but doesnt look like the other's ive seen. The matchbox is placed horizontally and it encased in metal. I will be somehow putting this into my A12 1200 in the mere future. I also grabbed the points dizzy from my A15 to see if i can move the cog on the bottom onto the EI dizzy. It doesn't look like it is going to reach in far enough...? any comments
