on the left is standard in the middle is the section removed and last but not least is the shortened strut with the nissan pulsar inserts  .... please note u will need to remove at least 2 and a half coils from standard spring and use the original tube nuts because pulsar have a diffrent thread also u will need to file out the top hole approx 2 mm bigger to let the larger shaft through and your good to go with  175/60 13 on 6 inch rims it should sit about 20mm out of the gaurd not a bad ride hight at all ..

why don't you try getting sunny or stanza strut tops to use,instead of modifying the standard ones.they come with a larger hole
for the bigger shaft,& larger studs in the top,so all i had to do was drill the holes in the top of the strut tower out slightly.

i have done that for my other ute i am running 240k struts with shorter inserts but these are on my 1993 lwb ute and i didnt have the heart to swop em besides they have great brakes and i have all my own gear to do it only took me 2 hours ,out ,mods and back in and the inserts where cheaper then standard 1200 ones go figure

but what would filing 2mm off the top do? when the strut goes all the way inside

I think he means filing 2mm out of the hole in the large nut on top of the strut tube that the long shiny bit you can see there passes through.
