Yes, the first mounting boss was added in 1974, so that the fuel line clamped to the head instead of the rocker cover. That was to enable the cover to be removed without having to unbolt the fuel line.

Here's the A12A head for comparison. It's missing the boss for the oil passage:

Also I notice another bolt boss at the lower front, just like Angelo's new cylinder head.
