Feral is the man
This head received minor welding repairs to fix up a little corrosion at a couple of the coolant holes, a light skim to clean & true the gasket face, some port mods, including short turn radius improvements to improve swirl, & removal of any dags in the airstream, but this head is not ported. It will flow as well as i need.

Naturally, new guides are fitted.
Inlet valves are now 37mm from the A15 engine.[2mm increase] They have been reshaped for flow improvements, & weight reduction. Exhausts are 32mm stainless.[3mm increase] This will allow me to use lead free fuel. Chambers are polished for maximum heat rejection & they are all 31cc as writen on the front of the head. Plugs are also indexed.
Ports are now matched to the manifolds. It's not a race head, just an improved performance street head.

The two drillings [one plugged] for the 1200's rocker oiling are clearly seen in this photo. This time, they are on the lower edge of the head.

A new set of dual valve springs that will accomodate the improved lift of a new cam, & a set of lash caps to protect both the valve stems & the roller rockers, are also included in the finished product.

This is EXACTLY what i had wanted.
My engine is now one more small step closer to being a runner..

Thanks Errol

Thanks also to 2332owner for fixing the photo problem for me.

It was Errols "A" head specialist that did the work, & a bloody good job he did too.
The head was not flowed. I was more interested in optimising engine efficiency more than maximising airflow, although some improvements have obviously been made there as well.

The objective is more for torque than revs, & this engine will be redlined as per the stock Coupe tach. This is why the cam will be relatively mild, while the roller rockers will give it some extra valve lift.
This extra lift is the hot cam you have when you're not running a hot cam. [Appologies to Claytons for stealing a line from their ad.]

All things in moderation.
