Both are alloy carriers......the 4.11 has been painted black though...not sure why, but Isuspect the previous owner was trying to hide the fact that it was an alloy carrier (nismo) unit. |

Re: 2 x H190 LSD this answers my question from the other picture.bugger.i'd definitely be trying to retain the alloy housing.the difference between the steel 4.1 & the alloy 4.6 h190's ive got for my sunny is amazing.swapping a ratio from the gazelle into this would be possible if the thickness of the ring gear was close.a 'little'(ha,little my big toe) machining would probably get the contact patch set up correctly,as well as a new collapsible spacer for the pinion gear.i once imported a 4.4:1 h165 ring & pinion, only to find it didn't fit the housing it was meant for.2 mm was machined off one side to get the clearances correct.that centre is still going after more than 10 years, but the person who has it now has finally worn through the case hardening.

Re: 2 x H190 LSD Ok...so it sounds a little more difficult than I thought. Any suggestions on who I could talk to about making this happen?

Re: 2 x H190 LSD i dont know about a diff guy personally, but when a friend of mine was alive,he used a guy at ingleburn,on liverpool st near the corner of memorial avenue.i don't know the guy personally,or the name of his business,so i can't recommend one way or another, but i seem to remember you're down that part of sydney,so maybe he's worth talking to.the person i knew was ron johnson, who owned ingleburn steering, which ended up being just up the street from them.they put an lsd into a h165 for ron's 1200 ute.i don't even know if the diff place still exists.the only other person i can recommend is arther jackson at the road & rally centre, now at smithfield.he was showing me photos just yesterday of an l20b powered sunny sedan he built years ago, which was the inspiration for the white & purple sunny which won the under 2 litre improved touring championship here in sydney a few years ago.
