Re: Another D 1000 induction Like the other photo from 1000collector, this one has the same carbs, however, there was a means available to link both carbs. The air cleaner bases will be removed & nice new Lynx Ramflo aircleaners will be fitted. [I assume that they are still available]
I need a set of good used, or new, but affordably priced, extractors to finish it all off

Re: Another D 1000 induction Dodgeman do you really think that Ram flows would be the most appropriate?

Re: Another D 1000 induction The whole thing is to be cleaned up & eventually mounted on my original 1000 coupe engine. I may need to use this engine in original stock condition for registration first though. When it is no longer required for transportation purposes, the twin carb equiped engine will be mounted on a rotating pedestal, all freshly painted, & it will serve as a conversation piece & a garage ornament, so the Ramflo's would be OK, but i'm open to suggestions.
The GX cast header /manifold is to go onto my GX engine. I had a second one once, but i can't find it. I may have thrown it out.

Re: Another D 1000 induction Now that sounds good. With any luck, they can be bought through Repco.

Re: Another D 1000 induction Yeah you can still get the little chrome filters. Repco have them but I ordered them from the carby shop for $40 each(rip off) I didn't buy them off repco because they wanted an extra $10 just to order them in.

Re: Another D 1000 induction Well, going by the others, it would be a rather plain covered book, perhaps with a graphic [but not a picture] & it would have the model name [Datsun 1200] & the model code [B110] clearly printed on it.
By way of example, my 120Y one says
Service Manual Datsun 120Y Model B210 series...... It also has the same info on the spine & there is a Datsun corporate logo on the lower part of the cover.
On the back cover at the top it has Nissan Motor Co., LTD. Tokyo Japan ,... & in the bottom there is a small panel with the issue date & the publication number.
The 1200 book will have pretty much all of this info in the places mentioned. Once you have seen the plain Jane nature of the factory books, you will recognise them easily enough.
