LOL. Yes, but this one does it by design.
It's not in the parts book, so it must have been a genuine accessory as it is pictured in a sales brochure.

Recent research has revealed a bewildering list of KB10 options & accessories, & this is just one.
I now believe that the list of available items was not matched by any other of our small Datsun models.
They truly were the chosen one in the Datsun stable in this time frame.

What's so special about that? If you overtighten the screws on a 1200 mirror, it flops around like that too.
