Re: KB10 Options. Even more stuff
While this picture may at first look to be the same as one posted earlier, it isn't.
It still shows the Houndstooth interior, the Sports option steering wheel & matching gear knob, the two sizes of fog light [also available as a driving light] & some other stuff.

If the factory optional dash mounted tach [shown] was fitted, then the small clock [shown] could be used on top of the dash. If the Dash mounted clock was used [not shown] then the small pod mounted tach [shown] could be used on top of the dash.

Also shown are the fire extinguisher & two flares that were mounted under the dash on the left side.
Also visible in this heavily cut down photo are the trouble light, the 8 track sterio tape player & the JDM licence plate surround.

There is still one other item in the photo that has yet to be identified, & plenty of stuff in the portions of the picture that were cut away.
KB10, it's no ordinary car, you know you want one.

Are you for real Dodgeman?

Your saying all these factory options were available for that one little car.

Those Datsun engineers must have really considered the KB10 to be something quite special.

The KB10 its no ordinary car.

Between the fire extinguisher and door trim looks to be 2 slimline door weathershields.
Cant make out what it is behind the radio though.

Yes, they are slimline weathershields, & yes RB20, they are speakers, but it's not a radio, that's the 8 track casette player. The white bit in the middle of it is an 8 track casette, & i think that the "knobs" are in fact, buttons.

The unknown items are the two cylindrical objects between the Casette player & the flares.
How could i have forgotten to mention the Slip-Over head rest on the left side seat.

Oh yes Sidedraught, it's all for real, all of these wonderfull items were indeed available for just that one amazing car. Those Engineers must have really loved this wonderfull little car, & I can readily understand why it must have been their favioite, what with it's clean sporty styling, light weight, nimble handling, low cost,... well, the list just goes on & on. It's so easy to see why it's no ordinary car.

Freak, the Steering Wheel was continued in production with a diferent mounting hub & horn button for the 1200 model. It was listed as the "Coupe, Sports Option" steering wheel & i have one that i hope to use on my sons 1200 coupe. The gear knob was also continued in production, but with a dogleg five speed pattern for the GX model.
Using KB10 parts really improves the look of the later models in my view.

Gosh Sidedraught, i have just realised why we have not heard about all the positive features of those ord.. I mean "other" cars that our fellow motorists have.
It's the KB10 effect,.... they all want one.

Well there is a nice one for sale on ebay right now with about 65,000 miles on it, & it looks to be in good condition at a VERY reasonable price. Now that's an opportunity too good to miss for the smarter Datsun owner.

Like you Sidedraught, i too would grab it if i could justify yet another car, but to be fair, it should go to another person who can truly appreciate the finer things in life. Those of us 'in the know' shouldn't hoard all the good stuff.

Well strip my gears, i forgot to mention that the optional seat belts are in that photo too. How could i possibly have missed them, but with so many things, it just gets to be like a "where's Wally?" picture.
Mmmm KB10.

Hi,

I am a bit confused how that KB10 on Ebay sold last week for $3000, and now is for sale with the same pics, but with a different seller for $2000 "buy it now".
HMMM something fishy me thinks....

But then again, it is no ordinary car.
