 Re: Dog Day 10 (A)
What a great day! I was still looking for the 'lost' 30HP but had a ball anyway. Benny was "king of the hill" as he drove past me, and the Gemini 'sand crab' couldn't get past. Don't think I've seen Benny this happy at the track for quite a while !!
More pics to come.
Cheers

Fastest way between two points is in a straight line
Good pic R-fast and really dissappointed that I had to change my plans at the last minute and cancell my planned trip up there for the day
Would have liked to grab a ride with R-fast or Benny but it didnt happen.
Conditions on the day look pretty good too.

Can we buy autographed copies of this?

But seriously, this is a very cool pic.

If it was of me it would be blown up and on the wall for all to see.

Great looking action photo looks like its hooking up nicely.
You running slicks now or always have been?? Both you and Benny will have to make the trip upto Bathurst in December. It would be great to have a bit of a get together and race- socialize with fellow 1200 members for two days.
Converted and myself will be going and also maybe harry with the new Ca18- B110. The more the merrier.
Cheers Andrew

Hey Andrew are you talking about the hillclimb even at the start of December? What are the entry fees? Will my AAA license be enough or do I need a CAMS license to run at Bathurst?
Thanks Matty

Matty the speed weekend is on the 3rd & 4th december it consists of the mountain straight hillclimb on one day and the caltex chase supersprint the next. Entry fees are around $110 each day so not really cheap but an awesome event. You will need a L2S cams licence (basic licence can be bought on the day)

Hey Andrew,
thanks for the comments! Would love to do the speed weekend - did it years ago and had a ball! Do you camp on top of the mountain as a group or motel it? We camped with a few others and had quite a time BS ing around the campfire No slicks - the photo indicates just how little tread is left on the Advans
Will email the pic to those that are interested - and yes, there is an enlarged version hanging in the garage already
Cheers

 Re: Dog Day 10 (A)
I'm not adverse to a bit of BS around the campfire, but I think I'll be motelling it. After a long drive from Brisbane, some creature comforts are just too tempting. I'll definitely be up for a few beers though - either on the mountain around the fire or at a pub somewhere.

It looks like we'll have a convoy of cars from QLD. So far 3 of my mates are keen to bring their cars down for the weekend too, and we'll probably get 2 or 3 more yet.

 Re: Dog Day 10 (A)
Ill also be up for a few drinks and BS around the campfire but not too keen on camping when I nice warm bed is not far away
I normally stay with a mateonly 1 km from the track I feel much more refreshed and alert the next day the tamworth boys normally runamok up the top meaning not much sleep to be had.
Harry do you know if Cameron will be bring his awesome little coupe down??

 Re: Dog Day 10 (A)
Thanks for that Andrew. Competing is probably out of the budget for me this year after spending a pot load on the new motor, turbo etc. Harry - do you think you or one of your mates might have room for one more?

 Re: Dog Day 10 (A)
shouldn't be a problem Matty. We're planning on driving straight through to Bathurst on the Friday and another long haul home on the Monday, so only 2 days off work needed, but they will be loooong days in the car...

I have no idea what Cameron's doing - we might have to work on him... I've really got to finally get out to Pittsworth this year to see his beast in action!

But there may be a certain other 1200 coupe coming as well...
