at last i got my hands on a nice strong gearbox for my 1200 coupe. it was rebuild just a year ago and hasnt been used yet. as usual with old datto bits im now on the search for bits to complete it and get it in the car. Its missing a few. If any1 can help with these it would be great.
clutch fork ; thrust bearing ; spring to hold previous two ; spigot bearing ; clutch ; clutch pressure plate ; clutch pulley mechanism (bolts to outside of bellhousing) ; clutch master/slave cyl (seller still finding this for me).

this pic shows some of the clutch bits im after, where the clutch fork/clutch pressure line is.

my 63a box has the following ratios written on it.
1 - 3.3
2 - 1.9
3 - 1.3
4 - 1
5 - 0.866

it came from datrats, from the hands of Feral.
it seems the two sender units (shown in the middle image) are used to detect 4th and 5th gear.
if its a dogleg pattern (which i assume it is) ill be using a piezo buzzer on the reverse circuit, so i dont think im in 1st and drive backwards into someone (beeps when in reverse) heeh im stinging to put this box in my dato already.

Hey Evilsim. those clutch bits you are looking for you can get of the Lseires 63a box that came in stanzasss, 200bsss, 180bsss and i think even normal stanzas and 180bs at wreckers.

I am strugglinh with waht to do about the speedo cable i guess could nick of a 180b etc... but whether that will fit into the back of our speedo gauges im not sure?

for the clutch fork & spring, there's 2 f4w63a stanza 4 speeds at chris young wreckers at chipping norton in sydney, plus the stanza's were still in the yard last time i looked,so you
could get the speedo cable, clutch master cylinder,& the hard line from the master cylinder to the gearbox there.as for the speedo cable fitting the back of the speedo, take the
original cable & the stanza one to olympic instruments at pymble on the pacific highway & they will combine whatever you want, using your hardware.they've done this for a sunny im putting a 63a box into,so i know they can do this.& you can buy the slave cylinder new for about $20 from any brake shop,as well as the
master cylinder for about $50.

Don't worry about the speedometer cable unless u are gonna do some modifying to the tunnel, cause I have the same tranny and the laoder on the side of the tranny is all in the way of the original tranny mounts.

yay i found a clutch with a little help from a member, who pointed me in the direction of Jeff Taylor performance heads in St Marys. He sold me the right clutch with a 190mm diameter clutch and pressure plate surface, giving around 100 pounds more grab than the stock 180mm clutchs in all A series motors.
Jeff Taylor has an A series head picture on his business card.. his 1200's feature in the 'sound of webers' dvd for anyone whos seen it. great bloke great advice. call 02 9623 8826 to spk to him.
