It donst look too bad in this picture but there is a tare on the top of the bar about 2 inches long. If I bent it back into shape and welded it up it may be okay

There are still professional bumper bar repairers around i'm told, & they should be able to make it like new, then they rechrome it.

How about the grille? Would you sent that too or have a go yourself?

 Re: the front damage
Well a bit of an update, I have pulled off the grille, headlights, bumper bar and that front bit of the body. It required a few tac welds to be ground off. I also had to chop quite a few rusted up old bolts and drill out some screws, but at least it will be nice and fresh.

Its looking real tough now with the whole black frount end going on.... like its ready to hit the drags.

A panel beater friend of mine is going to help out with straightening it all up on Saturday, while I have the opportunity to have a good clean and paint up all around there. We might even have a go at getting rid of the rust in the doors if we have time.

What is the concensus on the grille and headlight surrounds... painted black or chromed up?

Cheers- Ian

are you replacing it with a coupe grill? Maybe you could black it all out except for a couple of bars.. I think Dodgeman said this was done from the factory too... the second bar from the top and bottom were left alone but everything else was blacked out I think. There's probably a pic he's posted somewhere.

Hmm that looks pretty good. And especially the black bonnet... if that came standard I am definately going to do that.
