Raised-port cylinder head. Almost looks like an L-series head. Possibly a GX head filled in to make round ports. Excellent sub-5000 rpm power?

Is that an oil temp sender attached to the oil pan?

What is the black round thing?

Black round thingy looks like the crank trigger for a crank fire ignition. By squinting, one can barely discern the ignition sensor on the engine front cover. Agreed, odd port mods for a hot rod A12.

Why would you put the plugs and leads in the photo but not pistons or rods ?
