Aluminum light-alloy rockers covers were never shipped on a Datsun 1200, but a newer Datsun factory alloy cover and many aftermarket covers were available. Alloy cover is quieter. Also seals better than a stamped steel cover which will seep/leak when overtightened. And it looks like it could win a race!

Hilti (manufacturer of explosive power tools) makes a mesh clip nail which can be used on top of the cover for the cables, after removing the nail from the clip and drilling the hole out to the appropriate size.

Hayashi Racing
In 2018 Hayashi produced a limited run 20 of Hayashi Racing finned covers available in raw, black, and wrinkle red finishes. These retail at for 120000 yen. They were released as tribute to Hayashi-san's 1973 JAF Japan Grand Prix win in an A12-powered Hayashi 708 FL1300. This car is currently under restoration at Hayashi Racing.
