Our buddy, whatever his name is, will be at the exhaust shop as we speak. They there be some pipes that are prepared for 13,000rpm on ab-flex..or ab-gas or something similar that is readily available from a mindless imagination after a few beers.

So is this a 140Z or 160Z ?

Well, with three pipes out this side, & i'm guessing that there's three out the other, so perhaps there's a V6 Chebby in there.

I'm not so sure think Mad Max Interceptor...

none of the pipes were/are functional they were all dummies the real exhausts were/are hidden...

however, maybe a engine bay pic is possible?

I would have preferred the original L14/L16! or a WILD L18 about 125-155Hp would be fine!...

Hi it is a 2.8L chevy V6 the pipes are functional. The most rear pipe is a continuation of the pipe. the two foreward were cut out of the side of the pipe, then the tubes were added. The two (actually 4) do not even get hot to the touch. I really dont know why he did this, he thinks its cool. to each his own.

Like mawler1 I think he had mad max in mind with that one , looks cool , but does nothing . If your're gonna do the Gm V6 , the 2.8 is not the way to go, go the 4.3

I agree with the 4.3 V6 I have one in my 1947 willys(lots of options). Although it may have heigth restrictions.
being its a 90* vs the 2.8 60* which is much shorter.

I'm getting mixed metaphores here.
US engines with Napoleonic specs. Surely these things are known by a cubic inch displacement number, particularly the older V6 Chevalay which is a 90 degree V8 with a 25% discount in the cylinder count.
Please don't tell me that the US motor industry has fallen to its knees & surrendered.

It has always been known as the "2.8" ever since it was born in the early '80s.

The USA converted to metric in 1976 if I recall correctly. Unfortunately it was a half-hearted conversion.

Chevalier? Anyways the original 90-degree Chevy V6 (circa 1977) was originally known as the "Buick V6 3.8" of 231 cubic inches. Later known as the Jeep V6, then back to Buick.

A couple of years later Chevy offered their "own" V6, also called "3.8" (but only 229 cubic inches, nobody called it a 229). Now enlarged to 4.3, these are 3/4s of a Chevy V8.

It reminds me the famous "Black Widow" chevy, but a Japanese version. Black widow is a mildly poisonous spider here in North America.
