That 5 speed is a L series unit!! Not a Sunny 5 speed. Hydrulic clutch mounted on underside of bell.. I wouldnt mind swaping the box for my 5 speed!!

I doubt it is an L-series box. They won't bolt up to an A.
That looks just like the two "dogleg" five speeds that I have, both of which have the clutch bits on the bottom. In fact, all of my four speeds do too, if my memory serves me!

Dimlight, does your dogleg have a right-side clutch arm? US 1200 4-speed boxes have the hydraulic clutch on the left side of the bell housing.

hey guys, is this a 63 series box? they were a dog leg, with big internals, but more or less bolted up to the A series. Had a bigger (L series size) input shaft.
I dont know where they came from (RWD E series engines maybe???) but they're v desireable and rare as!!

Yes it is an A series 63 series box. I bought it and the engine although I havenet had a chance to look at the engine as yet.
I am still trying to find the vehicle they are sourced from?
