I used to have a 1200 sedan with aircon, but i never paid much attention to it(it didnt work at the time) so yes they did come out with it, I am currently adapting a pulsar aircon system
to my 1000 everything is basicly bolting straight up the biggest expense is going to be new seals and re-gassing of the system.

Im also led to believe that most a-series had hardened stems and seats, I'm running "Ultimate 98" from BP as far as I know there is some type of Upper Cylinder Lubricant in it (better
than current LRP shit) and it has a much lower sulfer content, the high octane rating of it makes for more fun as well.

Im pretty sure lead was used to stop pre detonation as well as acting a UCL.

Yeh the 4:11:1 diff is a bitch my datto goes off the dial at 100mph, at about 6500 and pulls till 7000, how fast its
going is anyones guess.

Anyway I have an offical "Wheels" roadtest from when the 1200's were first released.
heres some stats:

Indicated Max Speed : 157kph (98mph)
Actual Max Speed :141 kph (88mph)
RPM at Max Speed : 5500
1/4 mile (fastest) : 19.1 sec
1/4 mile (average) : 19.3 sec
0-60mph (0-100kph) : 15.5 sec

the stock 1000 fourdoor knocks .3 of a second off the 0-60 time, not bad for 1 litre power hehehe

Im looking for a replacement diff from my little 1000, the original has taken quite a beating from the A14 and is on the way out, does any body know if there any datsun LSD conversions?,
or would I have to go for a different make(im looking for a relativly easy one to install).
While the cars off the road for the diff, Im, goinf to replace the Drums at the front with dics (from the 1200) has anyone done a conversion like this b4 with the transverse leaf
suspension on the 1000? any info at all would be helpfull, as everyone ive talked to has said "too hard mate".

thanx
